Knicks G Tim Hardaway Jr To Return After Leg Injury

New York Knicks SG Tim Hardaway Jr. will make his return to the court for the first time since November 29th due to a left leg injury. He will be making a return off the bench with a minutes restriction versus the Minnesota Timberwolves on Friday night.

Hardaway, who was drafted by the Knicks in the 2013 NBA Draft, returned to his original team after signing a four-year, $71 million deal as a restricted free agent. The Atlanta Hawks, Hardaway’s previous team, did not match the Knicks offer, thus sending the Michigan swingman back to NYC.¬†Prior to his injury, Hardaway was averaging a career-high 17.8 PPG.

Hardaway has always been a decent scorer, and his return should help the Knicks in their playoff push. The Knickerbockers are currently 19-22, good for the tenth seed in the Eastern Conference, and sit two games behind the Indiana Pacers for the eighth spot.
