Jazz, Sefolosha, Agree To 2-Year Deal

Is defense the new offense? The Utah Jazz apparently think so. After losing star forward Gordon Hayward to the Boston Celtics, the Jazz signed defensive stalwart Thabo Sefolosha to a 2-year/$10.5M deal, bolstering their already solid defensive skill sets.

With stops in OKC and Atlanta, Sefolosha established himself as a premiere defender, earning second team All-Defense for the 2009-10 season. The Swiss native joins an international defensive powerhouse, with Frenchman Rudy Gobert, Australian Joe Ingles, and newly acquired Spaniard, Ricky Rubio. These four as a defensive tandem will make it hard for opponents to score the ball. While the Jazz might not score as much next year, they will definitely win games by not allowing opponents to score either.
