Bucks Announce Broadcast Team Changes

Early Thursday morning, the Bucks released a statement detailing their replacement of former sideline reporter Telly Hughes.

His successor is Katie George, who was most recently with WDRB News in Louisville, Kentucky.

At the end of the statement released by the Bucks this morning, there are a few things to note:

“George will join the Bucks’ FOX Sports Wisconsin broadcast team of Jim Paschke, Marques Johnson, Steve Novak and Craig Coshun.”

This list does not include Gus Johnson or Jon McGlocklin. Johnson has served as a backup for play-by-play announcer Jim Paschke and McGlocklin shared time with Marques Johnson on the color side of analyzation last season, though McGlocklin’s role has declined over the past few years. Steve Novak worked a few games as a color analyst last season, but he mainly worked as a pre and post-game analyst next to Craig Coshun in the Fox Sports Wisconsin studios.

ESPN Milwaukee’s Eric Nehm enlightened us on the changes:

Gus Johnson had quite the time as a Bucks announcer. Even though he would get a little too excited for the opposition at times, he still had some memorable pro-Bucks calls.
