Kevin Love, Cavs Agree to Extension

Kevin Love and the Cavaliers have agreed to a four-year contract extension with the Cleveland Cavaliers, per ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski. The deal is worth $120 million

Love, a five-time All-Star, has spent the past four seasons in Cleveland, helping the Cavs win the 2016 NBA Championship. The ten-year vet will provide leadership and experience for a post-LeBron team. This move signifies the team’s willingness to remain in the Eastern Conference playoff race.

While his defense has never been a strength, especially as he has aged, Love still has the ability to space the floor on offesnse, making over 41 percent of his threes. Last season, Love averaged 17.6 points and 9.3 rebounds per game on 46 percent shooting.
