Bucks Lead

Brandon Jennings Heads Back Overseas

Per eurohoops.net, Brandon Jennings has signed a one-year deal with Zenit Saint Petersburg of the VTB United League in Russia.

This comes as no surprise after his short and underwhelming stint with the Milwaukee Bucks last season. In 14 games, Jennings averaged 5.2 points, 3.1 assists, and 2.2 rebounds per game on just 37.5% shooting from the floor and 27.3% from deep. He was waived by the Bucks on August 1st, before his contract became guaranteed for this upcoming NBA season.

This isn’t Jennings’ first trip overseas, as in 2008 he played a season in Italy for Lottomatica Roma before being drafted 10th overall by the Milwaukee Bucks in 2009. More recently, Jennings played in China for the Shanxi Brave Dragons before making his comeback to Wisconsin this past February. This is likely not his last trip overseas either. Since his rupturing his left Achilles tendon in 2015 he has not been the same electric player he once was and has struggled to show NBA value.
